According to a constituent on whose door Janice knocked, she gave a "pro-choice" (in favor of baby-killing) response when asked about abortion by the constituent. However, the details have not been verified by a second source. Another reason that brings uncertainty about her position on abortion is that she actually voted AGAINST a pro-abortion NDP measure that sought to criminalize peaceful, pro-life expression on taxpayer-owned public sidewalks within a radius of up to 150 metres around abortion killing centres. No response to CLC's 2019 Manitoba election questionnaire.

No response to CLC's election questionniare. The Office of the Leader of Manitoba’s Liberal Party, sent a statement to CLC which claims to represent the beliefs of all Liberal Party candidates and MLAs. The statement suggests that all Manitoba Liberal candidates support the legalized killing of preborn children, as well as forcing taxpayers to finance those killings with public money.  Furthermore, it implies that all Liberal candidates will oppose legislation that would protect the conscience rights of doctors and other health care workers, for example, in continuing to be able to refuse to participate in abortion, or give referrals for abortion.  The statement also suggests that every Liberal candidate opposes the fundamental right of parents to withdraw their children from classroom lessons which contradict their religious and moral values, on the topics of marriage and homosexuality.

Pro-abortion rating based on an official policy statement by the NDP, on behalf of all NDP candidates, which asserted abortion as “a woman’s right to choose”. This pro-abortion statement was posted April 5th on the NDP’s website during the 2016 provincial election.
